Handley School's Mission
Handley School is a coeducational elementary school for academically talented children. Students learn in an environment which recognizes and encourages excellence and provides intellectual stimulation and challenge. Students become increasingly self-directed, independent, confident, and develop an appreciation for individual differences. The school atmosphere fosters compassion, curiosity, and a sense of responsibility within each student.

The program is based on the belief that all children deserve more than simply the opportunity to learn. Each child should have an atmosphere in which thinking, exploration, and creativity are encouraged and celebrated.

Handley School is governed by the school board of The School District of the City of Saginaw. A School Quality Team, consisting of staff, parents and other members of the community assists the principal in the school improvment process.
