Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Grant Program
The resources provided by the Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Grant allows us to provide nutrition education while, at the same time, giving elementary students the opportunity to eat fresh fruit and vegetables outside of lunch service.
Catering Services
SodexoMAGIC is prepared and more than qualified to handle all catering request for the district. Our varying levels of catering service ensures that we have something for everyone. ^top
Community Engagement
SodexoMAGIC has many programs geared towards enriching the community. Some Saginaw specific programs are: SodexoMAGIC's Teacher of the Year Award, and the Adopt-A-School program led by SodexoMAGIC's Junior Executive Development program.
Sodexo and SodexoMAGIC strengthens their partnership with the Saginaw community by promising $25,000 to the Saginaw Promise and also donating a $50,000 Gift for the district to use in response to the Michigan Pay to Play law.
In addition to these initiatives, SodexoMAGIC is overhauling the student nutrition program in the district by increasing the numberof healthy and delicious school meal options available daily to students in all grade levels. The Saginaw student nutrition program also includes a Breakfast in the Classroom initiative that allows all elementary school students district-wide to enjoy a nutritious
free breakfast every day. SodexoMAGIC also launched a Culinary Celebrations program that reinforces nutrition lessons through cooking events and competitions.
