Parents play a significant role in their students achievement. Saginaw Public Schools parent involvement model is designed to improve student achievement by making parents and families full partners in the educational process.
Each SPS school has developed its own
parent involvement plan under the direction of Natalie Jansorn, Director
of Program Development for the National Network of Partnership Schools
at Johns Hopkins University. These parent, family and community involvement
plans are based on the model developed by Joyce Epstein, Director of
the National Network of Partnership Schools. top

Parents will also receive school closing notifications by 6:30am from our Instant Notification and Communications System. The notification service allows the district to send messages via landline phone, cell phone and pager within minutes to everyone .
