Entrepreneurship Academy

Program Description

The Entrepreneurship Academy is designed to offer students a deep dive into this exciting career!  Students will learn the core elements of business including market research, business planning, financial  management, sales and marketing, customer service, leadership, and so much more! In partnership with  Downtown Saginaw’s SVRC Marketplace, students will combine classroom and real-world business  experiences by attending class onsite at the Marketplace three days a week. Mentors from the business  community will provide additional work-based learning opportunities for students to help them develop  skills for becoming an entrepreneur. Leadership, networking, and public speaking skills will be at the core  of this program, leading to careers in business management, marketing, public relations, communication,  finance, advertising and many more!

Special Features

Students may participate in DECA (Distributive Education Clubs of America) is an association of marketing students that encourages the development of business and leadership skills through academic conferences and competitions.
12th grade students will complete and present senior projects  
Co-op and Paid Work Experience may be available.  
Students will learn skills that will enhance your business skills and learn the latest advances in entrepreneurship. Students will also be given competition assignments that will be entered at the local, state, or national level of competition.

Students Can Earn:

4.0 cr. Entrepreneurship Academy

College Credit

Program completers may qualify for articulated college credit from a number of colleges and universities.
