Program Description
Do you have a passion or an idea that you want to turn into a career? Experience the exciting world of business in SCC’s Entrepreneurship Academy where innovators, out-of-the-box thinkers, and business planners come together! This hands-on program partners students with local start-ups at the SVRC Marketplace, as well as international entrepreneurs and business owners right here in Saginaw County. Students will learn core business principles that can be applied to many career pathways including business planning, management, sales and marketing, customer services, finance, leadership, communication skills, and more! Students will develop their business knowledge and skills by participating in highly recognized training experiences including Hootsuite social media training and the Disney customer service program. Team projects, guest speakers, field trips, hands-on learning, and professional mentors all contribute to the personal experiences students want and need to become successful entrepreneurs Students also have the opportunity for personal and professional leadership development including traveling to conferences and competitions in DECA, an international student organization, finance, advertising and many more!

Students may participate in DECA (Distributive Education Clubs of America) is an association of marketing students that encourages the development of business and leadership skills through academic conferences and competitions.12th grade students will complete and present senior projects
Co-op and Paid Work Experience may be available.
Students will learn skills that will enhance your business skills and learn the latest advances in entrepreneurship. Students will also be given competition assignments that will be entered at the local, state, or national level of competition.
Students Can Earn:
4.0 cr. Entrepreneurship AcademyCollege Credit
Program completers may qualify for articulated college credit from a number of colleges and universities.
