Meet the Principal

Welcome to Zilwaukee School! I am happy to be serving in the role as Principal for Zilwaukee School. I bring 32 plus years of experience as an educator and an administrator; 30 of those years have been with Saginaw Public Schools! I earned my Bachelor’s Degree from Central Michigan University and my Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership from Saginaw Valley State University. I am in my 13th year of serving as Principal at Zilwaukee School.

At the school level, we have embarked on an exciting journey by implementing Dr. Stephen Covey’s 7 Habits of Highly Effective People ,  through The Leader in Me process. Through embedding The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People into the culture of our school, we hope to develop students who have the skills and self-confidence to succeed as leaders in the 21st century.  Additionally, we want to improve academic achievement through raising the levels of accountability and engagement among both students and staff.  The content of the Dr. Stephen Covey’s book, The Leader in Me, is based on the philosophy that every student has latent leadership potential waiting to be ignited.   More details will be shared with you throughout the school year, as well as opportunities for the 7 Habits to be applied in your own families.  In the meantime, I invite you to visit .

On behalf of the staff at Zilwaukee School, we look forward to working together with you and your children; together, we will continue grow our future leaders! We look forward to an exciting and productive school year.  As partners in education, we will increase student achievement in all areas – academically, socially, emotionally, and behaviorally.
