Julie A. Kolobaric

Saginaw Public Schools welcomes Mrs. Julie A. Kolobaric as the new assistant principal of Thompson Middle School.

With over 33 years of service—entirely at the middle school level—Mrs. Kolobaric is known for her versatility, leadership, and unwavering dedication to student and teacher growth.

She has taught grades 6–8 across multiple subjects, including Science, ELA, Math, Social Studies, Drama, Theatre, and Study Skills.

Her leadership experience includes serving as an IB Coordinator, Accelerated Learning Coordinator, and MTSS Specialist. She is also a dedicated mentor and a recipient of the Crystal Apple Award for curriculum innovation.

Mrs. Kolobaric earned degrees from Delta College, Western Michigan University, and Saginaw Valley State University. She is currently advancing her leadership through the Teach Michigan Fellowship program.

Her work is driven by a commitment to rigorous academics, strong instructional support, and programs that help students transition confidently into middle school and beyond
