Saginaw Public Schools proudly highlights Rachel A. Reid, an exceptional educational leader with over two decades of service in advancing instructional equity, student success, and school improvement.

Now serving as Executive Director of Student Services, Ms. Reid provides strategic leadership across curriculum development, student support systems, and districtwide academic programming. Her vision, experience, and drive help create learning environments where all students can thrive.

Prior to her current role, Ms. Reid served as Principal of the Saginaw Arts and Sciences Academy (SASA), where her leadership helped earn the school national recognition as a 2019 U.S. Department of Education Blue Ribbon School. Under her guidance, SASA also achieved IB Middle Years Programme authorization, Cognia Accreditation, and a successful relocation to its new campus.

Her innovative leadership and results-driven approach have earned her numerous accolades, including the 2022 Gerstacker Fellowship, 2023 SPSD Principal of the Year, and the 2023 Systems Leader Fellowship.

Ms. Reid holds a Master of Arts in Educational Administration and a Bachelor of Science in English and Business. She is deeply committed to building strong relationships, supporting educators, and ensuring every student has access to high-quality education and opportunity.
