Saginaw Schools thanks Hopevale Church for summer program support

Administrators from the Saginaw Public School District’s Summer Enrichment Program recently paid a special visit to Hopevale Church to express their deep gratitude for the church’s continued support of local students.

For over thirteen years, Hopevale has partnered with the district to provide incentives and rewards for students in early childhood and elementary grades who participate in Summer School and the Jump Into Kindergarten program.

This year, church members shopped for more than 400 students across four summer school sites — Herig, Loomis, Kempton, and Stone Elementary — providing books, toys, games, and other rewards to encourage student attendance, participation, and achievement. These thoughtful contributions help create a positive learning environment and serve as a strong motivator for students to stay engaged.

“Unity is the glue that holds the community and Saginaw Public School District together,” said Laticia Whitehead, Summer School Administrator for Early Childhood & Elementary. “As an educational leader for SPSD, it is my belief to continue to strengthen the social fabric of our community.”

The partnership between SPSD and Hopevale Church is a shining example of how community collaboration can uplift and enrich the lives of students — not just in the classroom, but in every aspect of their growth.
