Staff gathers in gymnasium of Saginaw United High School

Saginaw Public Schools staff gathered at the Saginaw United High School Fieldhouse for the district’s annual Opening Session, marking the official start of the 2025–26 school year. (Click through photos)

The event began with a welcome from Board of Education President Dr. Charles Coleman and Board Chair Mrs. Joyce Seals, followed by presentations from the Saginaw Promise and the Saginaw Public Schools Foundation.


One of the highlights of the morning was the recognition of several employees who went above and beyond in service to students, families, and schools during the 2024–25 school year.

Following the award recognitions, Superintendent Dr. Ramont Roberts delivered the annual State of the District Address, reminding staff of the successes of the past school year and inspiring them with the message: “Let’s do it again.”
