The Saginaw Community Foundation has officially opened its scholarship application portal for the 2025-2026 academic year, offering a wide range of financial support opportunities for students across the Saginaw Public School District.
Application Window:
Open Now – November 1, 2025
Deadline – February 13, 2026
Each year, the foundation awards hundreds of scholarships to students pursuing higher education, and SPSD students are strongly encouraged to apply.
What You’ll Need to Apply:
A reference (unrelated to you) with their full name and email address. Be sure to ask them in advance, as they’ll be asked to provide insights into your academics, achievements, and character.
Your most recent school transcript. High school seniors should upload transcripts that include first semester/trimester grades if available. College students may submit a student copy of their current transcript.
Completion of the scholarship essay questionnaire, which includes seven questions about your goals and experiences. Each response must be at least 150 characters.
Any special attachments or membership verification required for specific scholarships.
Answers to all required questions marked with an asterisk (*).
Important Note:
For this year’s application, the Student Aid Index (SAI) from the FAFSA is not required to determine financial need. However, students must complete the financial questionnaire within the application. FAFSA is still required for federal aid such as Pell Grants, TIP, Michigan Achievement, and student loans.
Students are encouraged to take their time, review each scholarship’s requirements carefully, and submit a complete application before the deadline.
