Some moments remind us why teaching is more than a profession. It is purpose. It is love. It is a quiet kind of courage shown every day in classrooms across Saginaw.
This weekend, several of our SPSD educators earned National Board Certification, the highest honor in K through 12 teaching. Fewer than one percent of teachers in Michigan hold this credential. Achieving it requires reflection, sacrifice, and an unwavering commitment to students.
Yet our Saginaw teachers stepped in with full hearts and rose to the challenge.
While leading classrooms, supporting students, and shaping young lives, they spent months analyzing their practice, expanding their skills, and proving what we already knew. They are exceptional.
Today we celebrate our newest National Board Certified Teachers:
Christine Dine
Lisa Ewald
Lori Hall
Rebecca Wilkins
Sarah Walsh

Their accomplishment is more than a title. It is a promise to students. It is proof that excellence lives here. And it strengthens every classroom, every hallway, and every child they touch.
To our teachers who reached this incredible milestone, thank you. Your dedication inspires us. Your leadership lifts our district. Your impact echoes far beyond the school day.
This is commitment.
This is excellence.
This is SPSD.
