Saginaw Public School District elementary students brought energy, teamwork, and school pride to the court on Saturday, Feb. 14, during the 4th and 5th Grade Elementary Basketball Tournament held at Saginaw Middle School.

The tournament featured competitive matchups and strong performances from schools across the district as student-athletes closed out their basketball season.

In the co-ed championship game, Stone Elementary earned a victory over Chester Miller, securing the tournament title after a strong showing on both ends of the court.
The boys division delivered an exciting finish as Loomis defeated Kempton in the semifinal round to advance to the championship game. Loomis then faced Handley Elementary, where Handley captured the championship with a 30–16 win.

Beyond the final scores, the tournament highlighted the dedication of student-athletes, coaches, families, and staff who supported youth athletics throughout the season. Events like this continue to promote teamwork, discipline, and confidence while giving students an opportunity to represent their schools with pride.
The district congratulates all teams who participated in the tournament and thanks everyone who helped make the event a positive and memorable experience for our students.
