Saginaw United High School is proud to recognize Ahnyala Eichelberger as the Class of 2026 Valedictorian, honoring a student whose academic excellence, leadership, and commitment to service have set her apart.
Ahnyala has earned an impressive 4.087 GPA while also excelling as a dual-enrollment student at Delta College, where she has maintained a perfect 4.0 GPA. Her success reflects a strong work ethic, focus, and determination shaped by both her academic goals and personal drive.
A standout scholar-athlete, Ahnyala has competed in varsity volleyball and tennis, serving as a team captain in both sports, and earning recognition as a Saginaw Valley League Scholar Athlete.
Her leadership extends beyond athletics. Ahnyala has served as Student Council Vice President and has been actively involved in Youth Ambassador programs, Mock Trial, and the National Honor Society, demonstrating her commitment to both her school and her peers.
She has also made a strong impact in the community, volunteering with organizations such as the East Side Soup Kitchen, Rescue Mission, and YMCA programs, while tutoring younger students and participating in youth-focused initiatives addressing issues such as gun violence awareness and drug prevention.
Her achievements have earned her numerous honors, including recognition on the Delta College President’s List, the MLK Scholarship, the Helen Joan Turpin Scholarship on behalf of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated Eta Upsilon Omega Chapter, and the Mitt Radio Scholarship.
After graduation, Ahnyala will attend the University of Michigan to study psychology, with plans to continue making a meaningful impact in her community.
