Two students from Saginaw Arts & Sciences Academy have been selected as finalists in Michigan's 2026 "I Voted" Sticker Design Contest, earning statewide recognition for their artistic talent and creativity.
Jaxson Miller and Bailee Meyers, students in Mrs. Giroux's middle school art concentration at SASA, were selected from more than 2,000 entries submitted from across Michigan. Their designs advanced to the final 30 entries in the Elementary/Middle School category.
The contest, organized by the Michigan Department of State, invites students and residents to create designs for Michigan's official "I Voted" stickers that will be distributed to voters during the November 2026 Election.
Public voting is now underway and will continue through June 30. Michiganders can vote online for their favorite sticker designs in each contest category. Voters may select up to three designs in the Elementary/Middle School category.
Members of the Michigan Collegiate Student Advisory Task Force selected 30 semifinalists in each category: Elementary/Middle School (grades K-8), High School (grades 9-12), and General Entry.
The winning sticker designs will be distributed to local election clerks across Michigan for use during the November 2026 Election. Winners will be announced later this summer and will receive special recognition from the Michigan Department of State.
Saginaw Public Schools encourages community members, families, alumni, and supporters to participate in the voting process and help celebrate the accomplishments of these talented SASA students.
Voting is open through 11:59 p.m. on June 30 at: https://www.michigan.gov/sos/elections/voting/i-voted-sticker-contest
Congratulations to Jaxson Miller and Bailee Meyers on this remarkable achievement and for representing SASA and Saginaw Public Schools on a statewide stage.
