Saginaw Public Schools welcomes Mrs. Kasydra Goode-Tibbs, a dynamic and dedicated leader, as the new principal of the Saginaw Arts and Sciences Academy (SASA)—a place she has helped shape through more than two decades of service.
With 21 years as both a classroom teacher and assistant principal at SASA, followed by leadership roles as principal of Arthur Hill High School and Administrator of Curriculum & Instruction at Saginaw United High School, Mrs. Goode-Tibbs brings a comprehensive vision rooted in excellence, equity, and enrichment.
Her leadership is marked by strong instructional rigor, collaborative culture, and deep relational trust with both staff and students. Under her guidance, SASA earned its U.S. Department of Education Blue Ribbon designation in 2019. In 2023, her students nominated her for the Excellence in Education Award, a recognition she proudly received for her commitment to academic and personal student growth.
A proud SASA parent herself, Mrs. Goode-Tibbs understands the unique power of a gifted and talented environment to transform lives. She now returns to SASA full-circle—more passionate than ever about ensuring all students have access to enriching learning experiences that extend far beyond the classroom.
Mrs. Goode-Tibbs is a visible, approachable, and visionary leader—one who uplifts her staff, centers her students, and leads with the heart of a parent and the mind of a strategist. She is ecstatic to once again serve the SASA community.
