Due to the final stages of construction of the new athletic complex at Saginaw United, and the demolition of the bleachers at Saginaw Middle School, the Saginaw United Football team will begin its season at the Arthur Hill Memorial Stadium, located on the campus of the Saginaw Arts and Sciences Academy, 3115 Mackinaw St.

We are looking forward to our first game in the new Stadium this season and will announce the date of that game once it is confirmed. We are also looking forward to an exciting 2025 season.

Congratulations to our Saginaw Valley League Teacher of the Year representing Saginaw United! The first Teacher of the Year ever for Saginaw United: Mrs. Debra Wyatt-McCain! Mrs. Wyatt-McCain is a proud native of Saginaw and a product of both the Saginaw Public and Buena Vista School Districts. She attended Longfellow Elementary, Webber Middle School, and graduated from Buena Vista High School in 1990. While at Buena Vista, she was a member of the National Honor Society, the marching band, and the track team. After high school, Ms. Wyatt-McCain enlisted in the military, where she served honorably for eight years. She later attended Eastern Michigan University, earning her Bachelor of Science degree in 2004 with endorsements in Special Education and Physical Education & Health. After graduating, she began her teaching career in the Ann Arbor and Detroit Public School Districts before relocating to Maryland in 2007. During her time there, she served as the Regional Emotional Impairment Teacher and co-taught 6th grade math and science. In 2015, life brought her back home to Saginaw. She enthusiastically accepted a position with the Saginaw Public School District, where she currently teaches 11th grade special education. Ms. Wyatt-McCain has embraced many roles within the district. While at Zilwaukee, she served on the School Intervention Team, the Lighthouse Team (school leadership), was MTSS/PBIS Co-Chair, and supported Leader in Me school-wide initiatives. Under Mr. Gordon’s leadership, she continues to serve on the School Leadership Team, acts as the school’s Assistive Technology representative, advises after-school clubs, and provides tutoring. Beyond the classroom, she goes the extra mile—literally—by driving students home, shopping for clothing during crisis situations, and staying deeply engaged with families to support student success in countless ways behind the scenes. Ms. Wyatt-McCain is a true team player who collaborates well with colleagues. She shares that her coworkers are a source of support and strength, helping to make even the toughest days manageable. She deeply values her extended school family. Students are drawn to her, seek her guidance, and thrive under her care. Ms. Wyatt-McCain has a passion for teaching teenagers and shaping their development both academically and socially. Most of all, she finds joy in watching her students grow into young adults who can advocate for themselves and set meaningful goals for their future. Congratulations Mrs. Wyatt-McCain!
