Tomorrow, our 8th grade students at Thompson Middle School will be taking the PSAT. This assessment is an important opportunity for students to demonstrate their academic skills and prepare for future high school and college readiness benchmarks.

We encourage families to remind students to:
✅ Get a good night’s sleep tonight
✅ Eat a healthy breakfast in the morning
✅ Arrive to school on time and ready to do their best!

Thompson Middle School Athletic Admission Policy Reminder 🏈🏀

As our athletic seasons continue, we want to remind Thompson Middle School families of the Saginaw Public School District’s admission guidelines for all athletic events, this applies to ALL Saginaw Public Athletic events.

🎟️ Admission Fee: Tickets are $5 and can be bought through GOFAN or with Credit Card at the door.

👨‍👩‍👧 Student Spectators: Middle School students must be accompanied by their parents/guardians to gain entry.
The parent/guardian must enter the game with the student and remain with them for the entire event.
Drop-offs are not permitted. Students arriving without a parent/guardian will be denied entry.

🏟️ Positive Fan Experience: Show respect and good sportsmanship toward athletes, coaches, officials, and fellow fans at all times.

These expectations are in place to ensure a safe, structured, and enjoyable environment for our athletes, families, and fans.

The following details are specific to HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL GAMES:
Football Season Guidelines 2025
Dear Football Enthusiasts, Saginaw Community, and Visiting Schools,
As we prepare for the upcoming football games, we’d like to remind everyone of the guidelines
that have been in place for the past four years. Please review carefully and adhere to the
following:
For the General Public:
1. Tickets must be purchased exclusively through GOFAN.
2. Only adults are permitted to purchase tickets via GOFAN.
3. No cash sales will be accepted at the entrance.
4. GOFAN tickets are not available for Saginaw United High School students. The
wristband serves as their ticket for entry.
For Students:
 Only actively enrolled students at Saginaw United High School and SASA are eligible
to purchase tickets.
 Students must purchase a wristband at school on the day of the game.
 Wristbands will only be sold during the school day and will be placed on the student’s
wrist at the point of sale.
 A designated wristband is mandatory for entry. No student will be admitted without one.
 Students must also present their Saginaw United School ID at the entrance along
with the wristband. The wristband must be on the wrist and not tampered with.
 Visiting team students must present a valid student ID at the entrance.
 Elementary and middle school-aged children must be accompanied by an adult to gain
entry.
General Guidelines:
1. No bookbags are permitted inside the stadium.
2. No outside food or beverages are permitted inside the stadium.
3. No alcohol, tobacco products, cigarettes, cigars, e-cigarettes, drugs, vaping, smokeless
tobacco, or weapons are allowed on school property.
4. All small purses are subject to search upon entry.
5. All students are expected to comply with district policies and procedures governing
student behavior during and after the game.
6. The district reserves the right to refuse entry to any person.

Reminder: October 1st is Count Day! Dear Thompson Middle School Families, We hope this message finds you well! We wanted to send out a friendly reminder that tomorrow, October 1st, is Count Day. It’s an important day for our school, and we encourage all students to be present so we can ensure accurate attendance counts. In addition, we will be offering exciting incentives for students who attend on Count Day! It's a great opportunity for students to show up, participate, and earn some fun rewards. Our Tigers had some exciting games this past week, showing grit, teamwork, and determination! Here are the results:

Girls Basketball 🏀

8th Grade: Defeated Midland Jefferson in overtime, 43–40

8th Grade: Earned another victory over SASA 51-19

7th Grade: Fell to Saginaw Middle, 41–8

7th Grade: Lost to Midland Jefferson 32-24

Football 🏈

7th Grade: Lost a hard-fought battle, 8–0

8th Grade: Came up just short, 21–18
➡️ Both games were very competitive and showcased great effort!
