We are excited to share that our 8th grade students will be visiting Saginaw United tomorrow, March 5th as they prepare for their transition to high school next year.
This visit is a great opportunity for students to become familiar with their new school, meet staff, and get a feel for what to expect.
This is a full-morning visit designed to help your 8th graders envision themselves as students at
Saginaw United. The day is intentionally student-centered — current United students lead
the building tour and serve as the primary speakers.
What students will experience:
• Opening assembly with Administration
• Counselor overview: credits, scheduling
• College/ Career Coordinators: Xello, College Visits, Co-Op
• Student speaker panel — real stories from United students
• Ambassador-led building tour
• Field house showcase: coaches, clubs & student activities
• Phoenix Guide take-home with counselor contacts & club list

Today is about recognizing the work that often goes unseen.
The early mornings, the extra time after school, the constant adjustments to meet students where they are—our teachers show up for it all. You guide, support, challenge, and care in ways that shape who our students become.
Saginaw Public Schools is stronger because of you.
Thank you for everything you bring to your classrooms and to our community.
#NationalTeacherDay #ThisIsSPSD

As we head into the final stretch of the school year, we want to remind our Tiger community how important attendance is. Each day in the classroom is an opportunity your student can't get back. Consistent attendance helps our Tigers stay on track academically and connected to their school community.
This week, the whole school will be NWEA testing, so every student needs to be here and on time!
Thank you for partnering with us because together, we keep our Tigers roaring! 🐯🧡

📍 Come find us along the parade route and make some noise for our musicians. They'd love to see friendly faces in the crowd!
Let's show the community what Thompson Tiger pride sounds like! 🧡
Today, we recognize and celebrate our incredible principals across Saginaw Public Schools. From early mornings to late evenings, you lead with purpose, support your teams, and make decisions that shape the lives of our students every day.
