The last day of classes is Friday, March 27, and students will be on break from March 30 through April 6. School will resume on April 7.
After-school programs will pick back up after the break.
We hope everyone has a safe and relaxing Spring Break. Enjoy the time—we’ll see you soon.

🐾 Happy Friday, Thompson Tigers! What an amazing week it has been!
Before you head into Spring Break, a couple of important reminders for when we return:
PSAT and M-STEP testing will be getting underway. The best thing you can do to prepare? Keep those good attendance habits going! Well-rested, present, and on-time Tigers are ready-to-go Tigers. 🐾
Starting after break, water bottles with handles will no longer be permitted in the building. Please plan accordingly!
Today we celebrated inclusion with a whole school assembly. What makes Thompson Middle School so special? We are a community that shows up for each other, and that starts with simply SHOWING UP! A huge shoutout to all of our Tigers who have been coming to school every day, on time, and ready to learn. Your dedication and commitment does not go unnoticed. We are so proud of you!
From all of us at Thompson Middle School, we wish you a safe, restful, and fun Spring Break! 🌴☀️
A huge thank you to the amazing team at Great Lakes Bay Health for presenting Glow Up 101 to our 6th, 7th, and 8th graders! 🌟
Our Tigers got to learn about some really important topics including hygiene, sleep, and confidence. All these things make a real difference in how we feel and show up every day. Thank you, Great Lakes Bay Health, for investing in the health and well-being of our Thompson Tigers.
Also, don't forget! Tonight's the night for the Thompson Band Concert! Be here at 6:00pm to listen to our amazing musicians perform.

Tuesday is 💚 GREEN DAY for Mental & Emotional Disability Awareness. See you all on time and in green!

And if that wasn't enough, Ms. Hurley's 7th graders extracted real DNA from pea plants and examined it under the microscope 🌱🔬, while Mrs. Gaiter's 8th grade history class created their own bill, argued its constitutionality before a mock Supreme Court, and had it officially signed into law by Principal Mr. LaPorte! 🏛️📜
To say we are busy with activity today is an understatement, but we wouldn't have it any other way. That's Thompson! 💙

Inclusion Spirit Week is coming: March 16th – 20th
All week long, we're celebrating the diverse abilities, minds, and experiences that make our community stronger. Each day we'll wear a color to represent a different cause: physical disabilities, mental health, autism, learning disabilities, and ADHD.
Show your support, spark a conversation, and most importantly, make everyone around you feel seen and valued. 💙
Wear your colors. Share your heart. Together, we include everyone. 🌟
