Today our 8th grade students participated in an engaging and eye-opening Financial Reality Fair, and it was a huge success!
We would like to extend a big thank you to Frankenmuth Credit Union for hosting this valuable experience, along with Dennis Barlow from the ISD for his support and partnership.
Our students did a fantastic job making real-life financial decisions, managing expenses, and working to balance a monthly budget. Experiences like this help build important life skills, and we are grateful to everyone who helped make this opportunity possible.

Hello Thompson families,
This is a friendly reminder that students should not be bringing headphones to school. Headphones can be distracting during the school day and are best left at home.
We also want to remind families to not send students to school with perfumes, colognes, or body sprays. Strong scents can cause headaches, allergic reactions, and breathing difficulties for others. Parents will be expected to pick up any sprays that are collected by security.

5th grade and under are FREE
Important White Pine Policies:
No locker rooms available for changing
No personal basketballs permitted
Players must sit behind their bench (bleachers will be pulled out)
No shooting at halftime – only teams playing are allowed on the court before the game
All 6th–8th grade students must be accompanied by an adult and must sit in the parent section (not the student section)
Thompson fans should sit in the visitor section, marked by a banner above the bleachers

Thompson is proud to recognize 20 High Expectation (HE) Scholars in Mrs. Gaiter's class! These students were honored for their hard work and dedication today with backpacks, medals and certificates, generously donated by the Saginaw First Church of God. Thank you Reverend David VanNorman and the congregation for supporting and recognizing the outstanding achievement of our students!
Our HE Scholars are independent learners who take ownership of their work through self-discipline, curiosity, and a strong work ethic. They are expected to show up to class prepared, contribute to class discussions and apply their best effort to tasks and assignments consistently.
We are so proud of these students and the example they set every day! 👏🐯

What an incredible day of holiday spirit at Thompson Middle School! Students and staff showed off their Grinch-themed outfits, spreading festive fun throughout the school. And we ended our day with a Staff vs. Student Volleyball Game that had everyone on the edge of their seats!
