Regular attendance is one of the most important things your student can do for their success. With the end of the school year just around the corner, now is not the time to slow down. Let's finish just as strong as we started! Every day in the building still counts.
A reminder to all 8th graders and their families: M-STEP testing is happening this week! Please make every effort to have your student in school, on time, and well-rested.
Tips for a great testing week:
🌙 Get a good night’s sleep
🍳 Eat a healthy breakfast
⏰ Arrive on time
See you tomorrow Tigers!
🌎 Happy Earth Day from Thompson Tigers!
Today our students across every grade are taking action to care for our planet.
6th Graders are rolling up their sleeves to keep our campus clean and green.
7th Grade is diving in with seed planting, microplastics exploration, and learning about the trash vortex
8th graders are channeling their creativity into powerful messages about protecting our environment.
From the classroom to the schoolyard, Thompson Tigers are proving that meaningful change starts with us. 🐾🌿

🐯 Reminder, Thompson Tigers that every day counts!
This week our 6th graders are taking their M-STEP, so we need every student here and ready to go.
Make sure your Tiger gets a good night’s sleep, arrives when doors open at 7:00 AM for a filling breakfast, and is ready for classes at 7:36 AM.
Research shows that regular attendance in middle school builds the positive habits students need for high school and beyond!
Let’s show up strong this week! 🐾
Big shoutout to our 7th graders who have been working hard and showing up on the M-STEP. We are beyond proud of the effort and focus we’ve seen!
Testing continues Thursday and Friday, and being present makes ALL the difference.
We need ALL of our students here because every day you're here matters. Not just for testing but for YOU! So let's get a good night’s sleep, a solid breakfast, and walk through those doors ready to go!

☀️ Dress code reminder — warmer weather is here!
As temperatures start to rise, we want to remind all Thompson families that our school dress code remains in effect throughout the rest of the school year.
We know warmer weather calls for lighter clothing and shorts, skirts, and dresses are all allowed! Just keep in mind that all bottom apparel must be no more than three (3) inches above the knee.
Please note:
If a student is found to be in violation of the dress code, a parent or guardian will be contacted.
We appreciate your partnership in helping our students put their best foot forward every day!

Did You Know? Every Day Counts for Your Tiger! 🐯
Research shows that 7th grade is a tipping point where attendance rates begin to drop and chronic absenteeism starts rising. That means RIGHT NOW is one of the most important times to build strong habits!
✅ 1 missed day = missed discussions, notes, and connections
✅ 10 missed days = chronically absent
✅ 18+ missed days = significant impact on grades AND relationships
Before the pandemic, national attendance averaged 94%. That number dropped significantly, but we're working hard to get it back up, and YOUR Tiger can be part of the solution! 🧡💙
Let's finish out the school year strong by showing up every day, on time. Doors open at 7:00 am for breakfast and classes start at 7:36 am.
Every Day COUNTS. See you tomorrow Tigers! 🐯

📅 Attendance Matters! Every day counts as we head into the final stretch of the school year. PSAT and M-STEP testing will be getting underway, and the best thing your Tiger can do to be ready is to show up — on time, every day. Don't Miss Your Moment!
💧 Water Bottle Update! Starting when we return from break, water bottles with handles will no longer be permitted in the building. Please make sure your student has a new bottle ready to go before they head back!
We can't wait to see our Tigers back in the building on Tuesday, April 7th! 💙🧡
