This is a reminder that today, November 8th is a half day for students due to Parent/Teacher conferences. Notes were sent home last week.
Students will be dismissed at 11:10am. If they do not ride the bus, students will need to be picked up at that time.
Conferences are from 12:30-6:00pm today.

Good Afternoon. Thompson Middle School 8th graders will be taking the Fall PSAT on Monday, October 16th. We need ALL 8th grade students in attendance on time on this day. This afternoon (10/5) at 2:20 p.m., FEMA (and the FCC) will conduct a national test of the Integrated Public Alert and Warning System (IPAWS). This alert will cause cell phones to receive a National Alert (with a loud tone) during this time. The Alert will still come through even if a person's cell phone is set to silent. Because the test is taking place at approximately 2:20 p.m. (during the school day), I wanted you to be aware. The test will be transmitted for 30 minutes, but you will only receive the alert once. If, for some reason, the test does not occur today(as scheduled), the backup testing date is October 11th. For more information, you can read the FEMA article below.
