Dear Parents or Guardians,
Please see the attached map from the City of Saginaw for details regarding an upcoming road closure.
Due to an emergency repair, MDOT will be closing Davenport from Bay Street to Hemmeter Street next week. While Davenport will be closed, Kempton will still be accessible through our normal ways, but access will need to be made via the side streets. Traffic, parking, etc. will remain the same; just the access to get to those points will look different during the closure.
As shown on the attached map, Blackmore and Brenner may be used as alternate routes during this closure. You can also access the church for arrival and dismissal times only if you need to via these two side streets. Thank you for your patience and understanding as this work is completed. Please plan accordingly and allow for extra travel time.
If you have any questions, feel free to contact the school office.

If you did not receive your "Boxes -ON- Break" because you were not at home, please stop by the Success Academy -- 1000 Tuscola Street, Saginaw, MI 48607

The Saginaw Public School District is taking steps to save taxpayers more than $1.2 million by refinancing its 2016 bonds at a lower interest rate.
This move reduces the district’s tax rate by about one-tenth of a mill — putting more money back in the pockets of local residents while keeping our promise of financial responsibility.
Lower interest rate = Lower taxes = More savings for our community.

The Saginaw Public School District Board of Education voted unanimously to name the gymnasium at the former Saginaw High School (now Saginaw Middle School) after legendary coach, educator, and mentor Marshall O. Thomas.
From classrooms to championships, Coach Thomas built a legacy of excellence, compassion, and leadership that continues to inspire generations.
“To know him is to love him,” said Board Vice President Janet H. Nash.
“The naming of the gym where most of his activities took place is entirely appropriate,” added Treasurer Ruth Ann Knapp.
Superintendent Dr. Ramont Roberts shared, “I am just proud of being a part of giving back [to him] what he gave to the community.”
Members of Coach T’s family were in attendance, moved to tears as the board celebrated one of the most influential figures in Saginaw’s history.
Congratulations, Coach T — your name and impact will echo through these halls forever.
