SASA WEEK 16 GAME SCHEDULE

Our 7th graders built on their Educational Development Plans (EDPs) this week through a Xello experience with Mr. Barlow, SPSD Career Navigator Consultant and Articulation Coordinator, and school counselors, Ms. Essex and Mrs. Hoerauf. Xello is our interactive college and career readiness platform where students explore their strengths and interests through fun assessments, discover a variety of career pathways, and set personalized goals for their academic journey. This process helps students build self-awareness, connect learning to future opportunities, and start imagining the many possibilities ahead. We’re excited to continue supporting them as they plan for bright and successful futures!

⭐️ 1st Place in the Middle School Category! ⭐️
🍪🎄 Saginaw Cookie House Competition • Holidays in the Heart of the City 🎄🍪
We are excited to share that our Middle School NJAHS artists earned 1st Place in the Middle School Category at the Saginaw Cookie House Competition, held during the city’s annual Holidays in the Heart of the City celebration at the Andersen Enrichment Center!
Their creative design, attention to detail, and collaboration truly stood out among the wonderful entries showcased at this beloved community holiday event.
🏆✨ Congratulations to our talented young artists, Jaidyn, Laura, Liam, Francisco, Lauren, and Kambry — you represented SASA beautifully! #sasavisualarts

On November 6th we had three SASA seniors submit their application for Science Talent Search (STS). “The Science Talent Search is the United States' oldest and most prestigious pre-college science competition for high school seniors, sponsored by Regeneron and administered by the Society for Science. It provides a platform for students to showcase original scientific, mathematics, and engineering research and has a total annual award of $3.1 million in prizes. The competition aims to inspire future STEM leaders and empower young people to find solutions to global challenges.” Last year we were lucky enough to have one SASA student in the Top 300. Which awarded the scholar and the school $2,000 each. Completing the application is an accomplishment in itself as the final submission is 80+ pages. Good luck to Aditya Veera, Vedha Bhola, and Lucas Tilot!

Thanks to the cooperative effort of our SASA Dragon family, National Honor Society, and Student Council, your generosity directly supported SIX families and SIX local food pantries for our neighbors in need. We’re grateful for your spirit of service and for standing together to help us make a real impact this season. Happy Thanksgiving to our entire SASA community!

SASA WEEK 14 GAME SCHEDULE

SASA WEEK 13 GAME SCHEDULE

Attention SASA and Handley families:

This Saturday, November 8, SASA's middle school robotics team, Dragatrons, competed in the qualifying tournaments at Bullock Creek High School. Due to the randomization of alliance partners throughout the day, despite the Dragatrons' very strong performance and high OPR, they ended the qualifying matches in 8th place. Their skills did not go unrecognized. They were scouted as the best match by team Knightmares and selected to join Alliance 2 in the playoffs. Losing only one match against Alliance 1 early in eliminations, the games ended in a heated battle between the Dragatrons and Knightmares (Alliance 2) vs Freeland Fabricators and Jefferson Cydogs (Alliance 1). The Dragatrons and Knightmares came out victorious! Beating Alliance 1 in two back-to-back matches to end the event. The Dragatrons also received the Reach Award for their dedication to STEM and robotics advocacy in their community.
Their success in this event has qualified them for the State Championship NW in Muskegon on December 12-13. There's still a chance to watch them compete before States at Midland High School on Sunday, November 23 and at Goodrich Middle School on Saturday, December 6.
Go Dragatrons!
