This week we have some fun and exciting activities and events planned for the end of March is Reading Month. We have guest readers, a Family Reading Game Night, our school Reading challenge, along with some other classroom activities to make this week special. Don't forget that this week is Spirit week. Each day of the week has a theme. Put on your imagination and come dressed to celebrate March is Reading month with a St. Patrick's theme.
Attention Families, We are looking for a football coach (or two) to help our students learn about and participate in the SPSD 7 x 7 Touch Football Season. Students sign up sheets will be going home next week. Please consider coaching (there is a stipend involved after the season is over).
Our students put their engineering skills to the test with the Keva Plank Tower Challenge.🏗️ Using creativity, problem-solving, and a steady hand, they worked to build the tallest and strongest structures possible. From trial and error to triumphant towers, these young engineers are learning that every great design starts with an idea and a little persistence! 💡✨

We are kicking off March is Reading Month with a fun dress up day to celebrate the birthday of Dr. Seuss. Find some items to make your own Dr. Seuss character outfit (some tips can be found on the sheet). Can't find anything? Just put together some striped or polka-dotted clothes to join in the fun. We look forward to seeing all our characters on Monday.

Mrs. McMillan’s Third graders are flourishing through peer-to-peer classroom tutoring, where students help each other in math.
Students are gaining confidence and leadership skills. The enthusiasm has boosted engagement and learning, with plans to expand in the future.
